A very striking species of Fatsia that is endemic to the woodlands of Taiwan. To date it rarely found in cultivation. But due to its more exotic appearance it won’t be long before it is more sought after than its better known cousin Fatsia japonica.
With regard to hardiness I cannot say with any degree of certainy how hardy it is as I have only had it outdoor for the past 3 mild winters but so far so good!
April 2020: I can now say this is a very hardy plant, it has come through some of the colder winters without blemish.
